“Claire is new to this whole superhero thing, but she knows what it’s all about. Getting famous! But with veteran heroine Bulldozer breathing down her neck its not going to be easy!”
It is a superhero buddy cop story, about an old lady superhero and a punk teenage girl superhero.
The art, story, and everything is quite a bit rougher than what I can do now, its a couple years old.
I made this comic while working three jobs. I learned a lot from making it! And I can honestly say I’m pretty proud having made an entire book. If you have the chance or time to read it, I really would be very happy!
SO! I am very soon going to be going on one of those “Adventure of a lifetime” sort of expeditions! Where I will walk roughly 2,200 miles (and it will take me 4-6 months) from Georgia to Maine, on one of the most famous hiking trails in the US!
I AM TERRIFIED.
I am a very indoorsy person, pretty much addicted to the internet, movies, comics, and icecream, I get devoured by bugs and am allergic to poison ivy. While I am much more fit than I used to be, I am much LESS fit than my traveling companions, As well as being the only girl I know going on the trip. OY!
I’m not unprepared though, I have all of my supplies (much longer than listed here). I have been training every day, and I have section hiked part of the trail before. I gave my notice at work, leaving my apartment, packing up and storing my belongings, got some money saved up. Just about completely ready to disapeer into the woods for several months…mostly…ready…YES.
I really have always wanted to go on an adventure, and I can think of a million good reasons NOT to go. (And trust me people have listed ones I hadn’t even thought of).
But one good reason TO go.
I want to.
Haha thats a good enough reason to me. I also plan on making a graphic novel/journal comic about the whole experience.
I really hope I can make it all the way to the end. Not a lot of people do, but I’m going to try.
I hope you all will cheer me on! I’m leaving March 19th!
TL:DR, I’m hiking the Appalachian trail on March 19th, wish me luck!
