Hey Everyone! I am still hiking! And having a much better time of it, no puking in the woods or anything, and it’s really really spring now so no more ice, snow or frozen mud. Delightful!

Meeting lots of cool people, and seeing lots of cool things. Wild ponies, bright orange newts, all sorts of birds, butterflies, snakes and lizards. Waterfalls mountains valleys. Very beautiful. It’s still difficult too of course, lately I’ve been hiking between 15 and 20 miles a day. But I keep going even though I fall down a lot. Haha there is a tradition on the trail where you get a trail name. Mine is Tumbleweed, because I fall down constantly.

Still like with any big goal, it doesn’t matter how many times you fall if you keep getting back up. And you can conquer mountains if you go one step at a time.

got sick AGAIN

Hey everyone stillll hiking. Got taken down by the NORO virus, very nasty makes you puke like crazy (amoung other things…), had to be rescued out of the woods and get to an ambulance. Got better rested in a hotel for a few days. LONGER update later but just saying still alive, still miss you guys.

we are at mile 350 if anyone wants to know! BYE MUST GO FAST

Hey everyone! Still hiking on my wacky adventure! I am currently in Hot Springs, North Carolina, in the charming public library. Around mile 274 of the trail. Should reach mile 300 in 2-3 days! So exciting!

Spring is finally here, and we made it through the Smokey mountains just fine, I’m glad too because the first 2 weeks were just BLEAK with the fog, rain, ice and snow! Only problem is now there are biting bugs! rargh! I’m also a bit sick because hikers are a germy bunch. I’m also losing weight like woah, you are just working so hard your body just munches up everything extra.

I hope everyones doing good! I miss ya!

Hey everyone! I am over 110 miles into the trail and having a blast! It’s been pretty hard so far because we had a bit of a snowstorm, and it is hard to get used to the different terrain, not to mention all the mud and slippery rocks!

Made it out of Georgia and I am currently in the lovely city of Franklin, North Carolina!

Gotta admit I miss the internet, it’s hard to tear myself away from it! And I can’t draw nearly as much as I’d like because you just hike till you are exhausted then collapse. I also plan on shaving my head! Ive always wanted to, just call me GI JANE!

Suddenly I got very very busy and the internet is going off in a couple hours, so I just wanted to say goodbye everyone!!

This is the most adventurous, scariest thing I’ve ever done and I’m sort of freaking out, but excited? Mostly freaking out. AAAAAH

I have everything just about done but I still had to work on awesome secret thing I can’t post anywhere, so Evil queen is on hiatus till I get back , I was just getting to the super exciting stuff too! SAD. SUPER SAD.

I plan on making posts on tumblr from hostels and stuff so still keep an eye out on the ol’ tumblr here, And hopefully it will be an interesting experiance i can make a whole comic book out of!

Serious post, not art, ignore if you want to.

Just something on my mind today after something that happened.

Sometimes your brain will lie to you, it will tell you horrible awful things about yourself, it will make very convincing arguments that those things are factual, 100% true statements. But you have to remember they are not true, they are lies.

You are not worthless or bad or stupid. You are wonderful, you have fantastic qualities, you have insights no one else on earth has, and without you the world is a poorer place.

“Not me!” you might be thinking. Yes you. Very much you.

When i get into a depressive state i feel like I am in a black endless void, sadness pressing in on every side of me, hurting me, or like i swallowed a whole bunch of swords and they are trying to poke out of me on all sides. Later on the other side I can look back at my past self, like I am seeing through a 2 way mirror, “You’re going to be okay!” I scream at my past self, “Everything will be fine if you just wait one more day!”

Even when you are going through something really awful, or you lose something precious to you, try to remember, there is a you in the future who wants you to be happy, who is yelling to you to hang in there, that a greater happiness is coming, and you will make it.

You will make it.

Just wanted you to know that from your future self, and from me.

Ugh! Someone rear-ended our car yesterday cause she was messing with her phone and ran into us at a red light! Thankfully no one was hurt, poor Dennis’ car is even more scratched up now though with a crunched bumper. My neck was all sore too. Just drive when you drive!
