I thought you might like this predicted dystopian future.

if I suddenly came into a bunch of money I would open a bar called “the suffragette bar” and sell ice cream and pretzels and in the evenings sell colourful cocktails and have old art like this up on the walls.

I want to go there.

Kicking off the 2014 Virtual ComicCon interviews is the pen behind Princeless, Jeremy Whitley.
Jeremy if you don’t know, is the creator who brought us not-so-fair Princess Adrienne Ashe, the Princess who decides she’s done with this tower bs and proceeds to save herself. She teams up with her guard dragon Sparky, and a armor-smith Bedelia.
Now, On with the interview:
OS: Should chocolate chip cookies be chewy or crispy?
Jeremy: Yes.  As long as they are served hot and with melty chips and a glass of milk (or for the lactose intolerant your beverage of choice)
OS: How do you respond to complaints that entertainment is becoming to “politically correct” and that under-represented persons just want to make everything about them? (Assume the person complaining isn’t trolling.)
Jeremy: I think people using the term “politically correct” should return to the 90’s immediately and give that phrase back to whatever sitcom they found it in.  I think entertainment is just becoming “correct” in that the people with the power and privilege are beginning to learn that there is a place and an audience for good writing and good characters.  The thing is that for decades there was just the same slop and people had to put up with it.  Now there is a diversity of entertainment and people are free to choose and support what they like.
As for under represented people “making it about them”: I think it’s about damn time.  White men have been making it about ourselves for a very long time and if we’re not going to make it about them they gotta do it for themselves.
OS: What piece of entertainment do you believe that every person should experience?
Jeremy: G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona’s “Ms. Marvel”
OS: Would you like to talk about any awesome projects you have coming up?
Jeremy: Yes.
The third volume of Princeless, titled “The Pirate Princess” is set to debut in January of 2015 with a special preview running in the ComicFest book from Action Lab in October.
The kickstarter for Illegal by myself and Heather Nunnelly will be starting the week after Comicon!  We have been working really hard to put together a great campaign and an even better comic.  I think people will really enjoy what we have in store!
Also, “Snow” by myself and Jessi Sheron should have a preview issue ready in time for SPX so people who want to come by and visit might be able to get a first look at our modern day fantasty/horror book.  My goal is to do something like Labyrinth but make it genuinely terrifying.
OS: Jet boots or a fully autonomous robotic pastry chef?
Jeremy: Jet boots.  With jet boots I can steal all the pastry I need!

Guess just who Bedelia is thinking about I’m the second to last one? And the conclusion shows she’s made up with Sparky now. Flying isn’t SO terrifying anymore.

You rock so hard right now!

AAH YOU LOOK SO GREAT!!!
